The price of a gram of 21 carat gold in the local market today has decreased by 9 thousand Syrian pounds from the price of last Thursday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a 21-carat gram of gold recorded a selling price of 176,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 175,500 pounds, while the price of an 18-karat gram, selling 150857 pounds and a purchase price of 150,357 pounds.
The association asked the craftsmen to adhere to the price it issued, calling on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except in accordance with the bulletin issued by the association and distributed telephone numbers for complaints 2248005 and 0991937718.
The price of a gram of 21-carat gold has gradually decreased over the past two weeks until today by 54,000 pounds from its highest level, which at that time reached 230,000 pounds.
