The State will increase by 90 million euros its participation in the reconstruction project of the university hospital center (CHU) of Tours, as part of the "
Ségur de la santé
", announced Friday Jean Castex.

This extension, announced during a visit by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Health Olivier Véran, will bring financial assistance from the State to 165 million euros, or nearly a third of the total cost of the project (522 million), Matignon said in a press release.
The project "
plans to rebuild the entire CHU and bring together all its activities on two sites
", against five currently.
The additional aid of 90 million will be financed by the vast investment plan of the “
Ségur de la santé
”, officially launched by Mr. Castex in early March.
Worth a total of 19 billion euros, this program includes hospital debt takeovers, loans for nursing homes, digital technology, as well as subsidies for certain priority projects unveiled in small amounts.
Before Tours, the hospitals of Cosne-sur-Loire (Nièvre) and Nancy were the first to benefit from it.
According to the Ministry of Health, those of Reims, Dinan (Côtes-d'Armor) and Bordeaux should follow "
