Some 17,000 agents from the General Directorate of Public Finances (DGFiP) are mobilized to help taxpayers as part of the 2021 campaign for the declaration of income tax.

2,000 points of contact

Even if the DGFiP encourages taxpayers to do their paperwork as far as possible, the tax centers remain open to welcome them.

Due to the health context, self-service spaces (digital terminals, etc.) will be disabled.

A unique assistance number

To limit physical contact between agents and taxpayers as much as possible, the tools for communicating with the tax authorities are extended.

In addition to the telephone reception provided in each individual tax service in your place of residence, a national assistance number, 0 809 401 401, is in place, accessible Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

An agent can then answer questions or guide the user in completing their declaration online using a screen sharing tool.

Secure messaging and the chatbot

The taxpayer can ask a question, report a difficulty ... via the secure messaging of his particular space on impots.gouv.fr.

The novelty: a conversational assistant, also called a chatbot, guides the user and is able to respond in real time, and 24 hours a day, to the most frequently asked questions.
