Agrial focuses on higher value dairy products

The agricultural cooperative, present in all the major sectors of the France Farm, will invest 100 million in 2021 in its dairy activities and is considering buyouts.


A little over a year after the fire which largely destroyed its Vendée cheese factory in Luçon, Agrial is back on the offensive in milk.

The agricultural cooperative, present in all the major sectors of the France Farm (milk, meat, fruits and vegetables, cereals, drinks) already achieves nearly 40% of its turnover in dairy products.

Or 2.4 billion euros for Eurial, its dedicated branch.

After a year 2020 marked by the effects of the closure of restaurants, it wants to quickly resume growth in this activity, which fell by 4% last year.

But also to recover margins, while the forced shutdown of its Vendée site has forced it to sell at the market price of milk volumes hitherto valued in ingredients such as mozzarella.
