The value of Chinese imports and exports increased in the first quarter of this year.
"Imports and exports rose by 29.2 percent to 47.8 trillion yuan, or the equivalent of $ 1.29 trillion," Xinhua news agency quoted the Chinese General Administration of Customs as saying, noting that the rate of exports increased by 38.7 percent and imports 19.3 percent.
The foreign trade of private companies increased by 42.7 percent to 3.95 trillion yuan in the first quarter of this year.
China's trade with the other 14 members of the regional comprehensive economic partnership reached 2.66 trillion yuan in the first quarter, an increase of 22.9 percent year on year.
