Iran ranked tenth in the world in terms of steel production last February, according to the latest report of the World Steel Federation.
Fars News Agency quoted the Union as saying in the report that Iranian steel production recorded a growth of 11.5 percent during the month of February on an annual basis, amounting to 2.3 million tons, indicating that the total steel production in Iran reached 5 million tons during the months of January and February last two, with a growth rate. Its amount is 10.8 percent over the same period last year.
According to the federation, China topped the list with 83 million tons, followed by India 1.9 million tons and Japan 7.5 million tons.
