The activities of the virtual forum for Syrian and Russian businessmen under the title "Syria and Russia ... Possibilities and Prospects" focused on developing relations between businessmen in the two countries to increase the volume of trade exchange and economic cooperation.

The activities of the forum held by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside and the Center for the Development of Innovative Projects in Moscow within the activities of the Business Forum 2021 included presentations by Syrian and Russian companies on the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of textile production with the possibility of localizing production in Syria and the importance of exhibitions in creating suitable conditions for the development of cooperation between Russia. And Syria.

Discussions focused on cooperation in the field of rehabilitating and developing Syrian radio and television transmission systems, investing in renewable energy in Syria, and organizing joint production of the Uralic vaccine against "Covid 19" in Syria.

The head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Engineer Samer Al-Dibs, explained during the hypothetical forum of the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus that the Syrian-Russian economic relations were established in accordance with a set of agreements and protocols to facilitate and encourage trade exchange and economic and scientific cooperation in the fields of energy, irrigation, agriculture, industry, transportation, and to strengthen official trade relations with Syria, which constitute 20 Percent of Russia's trade exchange volume with all Arab countries.

Al-Debs emphasized that trade exchange between Syria and Russia will open many areas of constructive cooperation for our two countries, especially the contribution of Russian friends in the process of reconstruction, establishment of industrial plants, supply of raw materials and minerals, and the development of infrastructure and industrial technology, which Syrian industrialists hope to benefit from in a way that benefits the general Syrian industrial sector. And private and open areas of export to Russia, calling on Russian companies and Russian businessmen to take advantage of this stage to have an effective role in the reconstruction process.

For his part, the Russian government advisor, Iger Alexandrovich Matviv, the supervisor of the round table from the Russian side, expressed during the hypothetical forum of the "Radisson Collection Hotel" in Moscow, his country's readiness to provide support and assistance to the Syrian economic activities in the fields of industry, especially textile, trade, investment, technology, communications, energy and medicine in addition to Participation in exhibitions that will be held in Syria and support for joint investment.

For his part, a member of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce office, Hussam Abdin, confirmed that promising investments in Syria require the establishment of integrated Syrian-Russian partnerships to rebuild what the terrorist war has destroyed in the fields of industry, industrial construction and infrastructure, and the establishment of new factories in the fields of oil and gas, reconstruction materials, investment in agricultural industry crops and the establishment of Joint banks to facilitate trade exchange.

The forum's activities were attended from Moscow by the Syrian ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riad Haddad.
