Spring is here - and the four heroes of this puzzle finally want to do a few laps together on the racing bike again.
However, this is not so easy because everyone is traveling at a different pace.
If you manage to unravel the somewhat confusing constellation, you can win one of five copies of my recently published puzzle book »Blind Date with Two Strangers«!
That's why I'm not going to reveal the solution at this point for the time being.
The riddle: so that not each of the four people is out and about all the time, the quartet meets at a place where four circuits start.
The lap length is identical in all four cases.
Each person chooses their own circuit, all start at the same time - see the following sketch:

The men and women drive at their own individual, constant speed.
The speeds are 12, 18, 24 and 30 km / h.
They drive exactly one hour.
All four circuits are two kilometers long.
After one round, every cyclist arrives exactly at the starting point, the place where the four met, and starts the next round.
How often will the four see each other again at the starting point in the 60 minutes after the start?
Do you know the solution?
If you think you have found the solution and would like to take part in the raffle for five copies of my new puzzle book, please send me an e-mail to holger.dambeck@spiegel.de with the subject line

Good luck!
Note: I will save your email so that I can randomly draw the five winners and contact them. Apart from an e-mail address, I do not need any further data from you. The email addresses will not be passed on by me either - I will only use them for the raffle.
