The Berlin-Brandenburg airport company made a loss of around one billion euros last year.

This was announced by the airport boss Engelbert Lütke Daldrup.

"That's a very large number," he said.

The value correction of the new airport in the amount of 767 million euros contributed three quarters to the negative result.

In addition, according to Lütke Daldrup, there were regular depreciation of 141 million euros and operating losses of 126 million euros.
