The stock market performances of Amazon, Tesla or Netflix are no longer reserved only for investors capable of spending several hundred or thousands of dollars on a single share.

In recent months, several brokerage platforms have offered their clients to buy not a whole share but a fraction, for only a few cents.

For the past few days, Bitpanda, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, has been experimenting with an offer to sell shares in pieces.

It offers access to around fifty American tech flagships, as well as French stocks such as LVMH or L'Oréal, all from 1 euro.

With this offer, the platform is surfing the growing appetite of the French for the stock market.

The year 2020 was extraordinary on the markets.

Nearly 410,000 new investors have taken their first steps on the stock market, according to the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).

This younger population also has less financial means.
