Public finance officers were on strike variable Monday according to the departments as part of a national day of action for wages, employment and the defense of local public service, according to Solidaires (1st union).

40 to 50% in contact centers, the strikers were 11% in Gironde, 18% in Morbihan or 20% in Dordogne,

Strikes to stop job cuts
All the unions representing Solidarity Public Finances, CGT, FO, CFDT / CFTC, had called for a strike for “
immediate salary increases and an end to job cuts
”. They ask in particular for the revaluation of the index point (which is used to calculate the remuneration in the public service), frozen since 2010 with the exception of a revaluation of 1.2% in two stages in 2016. The General Directorate of Finance public employs around 100,000 agents and has lost 35,000 jobs since 2008. Some 1,800 new job cuts are planned for 2021, according to Solidaires. The unions are also calling for the "
withdrawal
" of the New Proximity Network (NRP) which provides for the multiplication of "
points of contact.
