Societe Generale is drawing lessons from the crisis.
After recording a heavy loss in early 2020 (a first since 2012), linked to its market activities, it decided to reorganize its corporate and investment bank (CIB).
She thus hopes to improve the profitability of this division which has been struggling for several years and which has already undergone several reorganizations.
"Some of our past results have sometimes been below expectations
," admitted Monday Slawomir Krupa, deputy general manager of Société Générale and responsible for BFI activities.
