The oil company YPF this Sunday increased fuels by
an average 5% throughout the country
.
In the last nine months, the price of gasoline grew more than inflation and the dollar.
As specified by the company, in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) the average increase is 5.5%.
According to what the president of the company, Pablo González, said, this increase would be
the last that the oil company will carry out in 2021.
How are the prices
In this way, the new reference values in the city of Buenos Aires are, in the case of YPF, for super naphtha $ 90.40 (until today $ 85.70);
premium gasoline or Infinia $ 104.8 ($ 99.30);
diesel $ 84.90 ($ 80.50);
and premium diesel or Infinia, $ 99.90 ($ 95.0).
The company confirmed that in all cases the current discounts of 15% for health and educational personnel will be maintained.
The rest of the oil companies such as Raizen (Shell's licensee), Axion or Puma also implement their increases with some commercial differentiations to keep their prices competitive.
The sixth increase of the year
This Sunday
is the sixth increase so far this year,
after those made on January 5 of 2.9% and on January 16 by an average 3.5%.
The third increase occurred on February 1 when the increase in biofuels was applied with increases of 1% in gasoline and 1.9% in diesel, then on March 16 with an average increase of 7%, on April 17 a 6% and 5% today.
"These increases are the last of the year, and based on this we will be able to invest what YPF needs to produce gas and oil through an investment plan of US $ 2,700 million," said the president of the oil company in the last hours in statements to the media.
