According to the annual survey "Pôle emploi's workforce needs", published on May 4, hiring intentions, after a year 2020 marked by an increase in unemployment, increased by 1.1% compared to 2019 , or 2,723,000 recruitments.

Services to individuals and businesses represent more than 6 projects out of 10, despite a 7% drop in hiring intentions for this last area of ​​activity.

Construction is the sector that is growing the most, with 8% of recruitment projects (+ 22%).

While Île-de-France saw its hiring intentions decrease (-3.7%), the regions of the Atlantic coast are showing dynamism: New Aquitaine (+ 15.2%), the Pays de la Loire (+ 10.7%) and Brittany (+ 5.6%) are in the lead for the increase in the need for labor.

Highly sought after salespeople

According to forecasts by Randstad Smartdata, which has studied the advertisements published on more than 11,000 sites, salespeople are among the professionals most in demand.

Rhône is the department, outside Île-de-France, which should recruit the most commercial relations officers from companies (2,800 jobs in May and June) and individuals (1,000 in May and June).

IT professions acclaimed

Paris and the Hauts-de-Seine are the departments which should recruit the greatest number of information system administrators, specialists in studies and development, but also in IT maintenance.

In total, in the capital, more than 6,000 advertisements for IT professionals will be published in May and June, according to Randstad Smartdata.

The Rhône (3,400 jobs in May and June), Loire-Atlantique (2,300 jobs) and Haute-Garonne (2,200 jobs) will also hire this type of profile.

The three departments are also the location of three French Tech capitals: Lyon (associated with Saint-Etienne, in the Loire), Nantes and Toulouse.

Order pickers called upon

Since the start of the year, more than 60,000 warehouse and order preparation professionals have been hired in France.

Mostly temporary workers, they are particularly sought after in Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes and will continue to be so in May and June, with more than 1,200 hires planned in the Rhône, again according to Randstad Smartdata.

A low unemployment rate in Annecy

Renowned for its quality of life, Annecy (Haute-Savoie) is also one of the most dynamic employment areas in the Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes region, with an unemployment rate of 5.5% in the 4th quarter of 2020 against 8% nationally according to INSEE.

According to data from Randstad Smartdata, the agglomeration currently has various needs: salespeople, order pickers, IT specialists but also sales professionals.

Nearly 170 home decor and equipment salespeople should be recruited in May and June.

Real estate, buoyant in La Rochelle

With a real estate market up 7.8% according to the LPI-SeLoger barometer, La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime) attracts real estate transaction professionals. According to Randstad Smartdata, 287 were recruited during the first four months of the year, mostly on permanent contracts. This is 155 more than in 2020 at the same time. The town also has carpentry needs: 298 offers for craftsmen were published from January to April 2021, a figure up 75% compared to 2020.
