The Secretary of the Committee for the Development of Iranian-Syrian Trade Relations, Hassan Danaei fled, discussed with the Syrian economic delegation visiting Tehran prospects for developing commercial and industrial relations between the two countries.
During his meeting in Tehran, the Syrian economic delegation, which includes my assistants to the Ministers of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Eng. Jamal Al-Din Shuaib and Industry, Dr. Jamal Al-Omar, and the directors of the Syrian Foundation for Trade Ahmed Najm and Textile Industries, Eng. Harith Makhlouf, stressed that his country is seeking to find the necessary infrastructure to strengthen these relations and develop them in various Areas, indicating the need to set a timetable for implementing what is agreed upon by making use of the capabilities available on both sides.
The Iranian official pointed out the importance of the visit of the Syrian delegation to Iran and informing it of all the opportunities and fields that serve the various sectors in Syria, including commercial and industrial, commodities, raw materials, production lines and technology that Syria needs, and said that “there are important matters such as bartering the goods that each party has.” On the importance of establishing a joint commercial company between the two sides and opening a store for Iran in Syria and a Syrian store in Iran, in addition to establishing trade fairs in Syria and Iran to display the products of the two countries. The Iranian official revealed the existence of various contracts signed between the two sides, expressing his country's support for every step that enhances joint commercial and industrial cooperation .
For his part, the Syrian ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub, who participated in the meetings, said, "The visit of the Syrian delegation will establish a new stage for future cooperation between the two countries and provide an opportunity for more cooperation prospects that serve the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples."
Ambassador Diop stressed the importance of working to establish partnerships between the two sides in the commercial and industrial fields and production lines to reach real and tangible results in various sectors of joint cooperation, especially through the implementation of what has been agreed upon and what will be agreed upon later.
For his part, the Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection said in a statement to the SANA correspondent in Tehran that “The possibility of establishing a Syrian store in Tehran and an Iranian store in Damascus were discussed. Several understandings were also reached, most notably the study of bartering of goods held by each party and the possibility of establishing a joint Syrian-Iranian commercial company and establishing A special shop for the Itca Corporation at the Syrian Trade Corporation in Damascus and in return, a Syrian shop for trade will be established at the centers of the Itka Corporation in Tehran, expressing “looking forward to more trade exchange between the two sides” and stressing the importance of bartering goods on the Syrian side for goods on the Iranian side, and said, “The coming days It will be better in light of the serious will available on both sides. ”
Shoaib added that, "from the industrial point of view, the transfer of existing technology at AITCA to the institutions, factories and companies of the Ministry of Industry and the development of production lines in Syria has been continued."
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Industry said, "There is a need to learn about technology and expertise in the field of industry to revive the factories and production lines destroyed by the terrorist war on Syria. There are also areas for cooperation to increase the production capacity of mineral water production lines and revive the battery manufacturing plant in Aleppo and the dairy and cheese factories." The importance of working to take off the stalled factories and factories to start the movement of production in Syria, pointing to the possibility of Iranian companies benefiting from the facilities provided by the new investment law in Syria.
