The litany of setbacks, design and production flaws on the Flamanville EPR site has been going on for a decade now. At this time, it is not certain that this list is not growing yet, warns the president of the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN), Bernard Doroszczuk, in an interview with
Le Figaro
, while the institution gives its safety report to Parliament. “To date,
we have not received a complete return from EDF on many subjects
, points out the president of ASN.
We are still awaiting feedback on the controls
of the primary circuits, which conveys the radioactive water under pressure,
and secondary, which supplies the steam generators, within the nuclear reactor that we have asked to build again given the deviations detected on the steam circuit.
The feedback on the tests carried out is not exhaustive, as are the decisions taken in view of the feedback on the Finnish and Chinese EPRs.
