Nightclubs, the last activity under cover because of the Covid-19 pandemic, should soon welcome their first customers from

For "discos, meet on June 21," announced Tuesday Emmanuel Macron traveling in the Drôme.

The same afternoon, discussions resumed at Bercy with professionals in the sector.

And a potential reopening date has filtered: it would be July 2, according to a statement to members of the National Union of Discos and Leisure Places (SNDLL).

To allow these establishments to once again welcome customers to the dancefloor, points still need to be clarified.

If a 65% reception gauge will be imposed during the month of July, the health protocol remains to be specified.

The question of the application of the health pass to be presented at the entrance to discotheques is also under discussion.

"I'm not against it, but why would it be imposed on us and not on the night bars", reacts Christian Jouny, general delegate of the SNDLL, who explains that if this was the case, the professionals could return to the Council. State for unfair competition.

Some may decide not to reopen right away

Moreover, according to information from BFM Business, establishments will be subject to an inspection and those which "will not have the necessary equipment to guarantee good ventilation and good ventilation will simply not have the right to reopen and in this case they will continue to be compensated by the State ”.

To read also Jean-Roch: "If the discotheques do not reopen, there will be a problem of public order this summer"

If the prospect of a reopening comes like a brightening after more than 15 months of closure, professionals are hardly optimistic.

“We should be happy, but how are we going to do it?

asks Christian Jouny.

On June 21, we will be 11 days before the possible reopening… ”Difficult in these conditions to prepare, whether at the level of suppliers, programming or, most importantly, personnel.

"As much to say to you that the seasonal workers did not wait that the discotheques are fixed on their fate", points out the general delegate of the SNDLL which points out big difficulties of recruitment to come.

Some might even decide not to open right away.

Professionals therefore intend to fight to extend the aid systems in force as much as possible.
