Will travel agencies be able to stand up to the wall of 1.6 billion euros in assets that they will have to partially reimburse to their customers from September?
The question is on everyone's lips among tourism professionals, while these reimbursements, delayed by 18 months by prescription last March, will return after the summer like a dangerous boomerang.
While many agencies may not recover, the airlines have already reimbursed most of the flights booked and are showing confidence for the recovery.

On March 25, 2020, an ordinance allowed only travel agencies, and not airlines, to postpone reimbursements for canceled trips by 18 months in the event of "
exceptional and unavoidable circumstances
" or "
force majeure
", which is the majority of trips canceled due to covid-19 epidemic.
