The Minister of Productive Development, Matías Kulfas, together with the Secretary of Internal Trade, Paula Español, presented "Super Cerca",
a price agreement with 24 large companies so that 70 products of the basic basket
of daily consumption reach the shops of proximity to
fixed prices until the end of the year.
Taking into account the range of products that make up a representative basket of local daily consumption, Super Cerca is made up of
30 warehouse products, 10 dairy products, 2 varieties of baked goods, 5 non-alcoholic beverages, 6 clothing care products, 5 cleaning supplies, 4 types of infant diapers and 8 various perfumery and personal care products
.
The total of 70 products correspond to first and second brands
of the most important companies in each sector of the industry, and will have an
average 7% reduction
in
prices
compared to the data collected in local shops in the last month of May.
One of the characteristics that the program must have
is that all the products included in this new scheme will carry a new
identification
label
with the fixed price that will be maintained for the next 180 days
.
What will that label be like?
The label, approved by the National Government, will allow a simple display of the value and an easy identification and display of the products in the basket on the gondolas and on the shelves of neighborhood stores.
"In addition, it
promotes an active citizenship that, in order to defend their rights as consumers
, can demand from their neighboring businesses the correct implementation of the program, respect the suggested price and claim if there is any abuse or inconvenience," they warned from the Government .
Super Close: 70 products with frozen prices
The new labeling is carried out to avoid confusion and guarantee that the fixed price is the one paid by consumers and must be the same throughout the national territory.
"We present this new tool whose main objective is to reach the global retail trade in Argentina,"
said the Minister of Productive Development.
"They are products that will have the price printed on the container, and that price will remain established until the end of the year," he said.
For her part, the Secretary of Internal Trade, said:
“We had pending how to do to get to the local business.
Súper Cerca's response has to do with that, with finding a basket that is available in neighborhood stores and supermarkets and that has predictability.
This will be throughout the country and will remain at the same price, there are no regional differences ”.
