Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that the Russian economy is recovering even though the coronavirus pandemic in the country has not yet been overcome.
Russia Today website quoted Putin as saying today during his meeting with the Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov: "All the repercussions of the Corona epidemic have not yet been overcome, and the battle against this virus is still continuing, yet the real sector of the Russian economy is recovering."
During the meeting, Putin praised the work of the Industrial Development Fund, pointing out that the fund's work was effective, as it became the main mechanism for the import substitution program and other projects.
Putin had indicated in a speech during the Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was held last week, that the Russian economy showed stability during the Corona pandemic, pointing out that the growth of the Russian economy in 2021 is expected to reach about 4 percent.
