Today, the Quneitra Chamber of Industry and Commerce launched five initiatives with the aim of encouraging the business sector to establish commercial activities and provide support and assistance for the development of the Syrian society and the advancement of the national economy, during a reception at the Chamber's headquarters.
Chamber Chairman Imad Ahmed Qassem stated that the initiatives will focus on the sports side on the rehabilitation, maintenance and investment of several sports stadiums on the land of Quneitra Governorate and its affiliated communities, and a percentage of the investment returns will be allocated to support private sports and families of martyrs and war wounded.
Qassem added: On the innovation side, the Chamber announced a competition for those who have an innovation or invention to submit, and the winner will be supported on the condition that the submitted project is feasible and of public benefit. Childhood Support for the Vigilance Charitable Society and the “My Smile” initiative for cancer patients to carry out an art exhibition for children with autism, special needs, people with cancer, children of martyrs and the displaced, and an interactive theater for self-development and capabilities of the aforementioned children. It will also provide three kiosks to sell bread to three of the wounded to be a source of livelihood for them.
In a statement to SANA, Director General of the Chamber, Suad Ismail, stated that the initiatives are a work approach chosen by the Chamber in order to support partnership between the public and private sectors and contribute to the implementation of some development projects on the ground as part of the Chamber's social responsibility.
