Alstom has won an order of 1.4 billion euros to supply 100 regional trains to the Danish railway company DSB, the French manufacturer announced Thursday, referring to "

This firm order, which includes complete maintenance of the trainsets for fifteen years, is part of a framework contract with a total value of 2.6 billion euros, with the optional supply of 50 trains and fifteen years of service. additional maintenance, according to Alstom. The Danish railways have embarked on a major investment plan, and "
we believe that (...) the fleet they need is indeed the one provided for in the framework contract

The 100 electric trains called “
Fremtidens Tog
” (trains of the future), which will be manufactured at Alstom's plant in Salzgitter, Germany, must be delivered between the end of 2024 and 2029. The DSBs have chosen a variation of the Coradia Stream model d 'Alstom - nearly 400 units sold in Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands - capable of traveling at 200 km / h, adapted to local conditions.
