The French manufacturer has indeed won the largest rail contract ever signed by Denmark, against the German Siemens Mobility and the Swiss Stadler.

With a total value of 2.6 billion euros, the framework contract provides for a firm order, which was signed on Thursday, June 17, with the Danish State Railways (DSB), the Danish SNCF.

It concerns the supply of 100 Coradia Stream regional trains, together with their maintenance for fifteen years, for 1.4 billion euros.

“In the coming years, DSB will be able to exercise options for 50 additional trains and extend the maintenance contract for an additional fifteen years,”

said Emmanuel Henry, Managing Director of Alstom in Denmark.

The delivery of the first trainsets is scheduled from the third quarter of 2024.
