Aerolineas Argentinas agreed to a salary increase of
36.59% for nine months
with the unions of pilots
(APLA
), ground personnel (
APA
) and senior personnel
(UPSA)
. The salary arrangement contemplates only the first three quarters and complements the
25% increase
that Aerolineas had granted at the beginning of the year, on account of the year 2020. And the negotiation was open for
another increase
, on account of the
October-December
quarter
of this anus.
The
Airline Pilots Association
(APLA) is headed by
Pablo Biró
, while the
Aeronautical Personnel Association
(APA) has
Edgardo Llano
as its general secretary
. The
Union of Superior Personnel
(UPSA) is headed by
Rubén Fernández
. With these agreements, the only union that still has the joint open is the
Association of Aeronautical Technical Personnel
(APTA), headed by
Ricardo Cirielli.
"With pilots, hierarchies and ground personnel,
the same agreement was reached as days ago with the cabin crew,
" said sources from the state airline chaired by Pablo Ceriani. The salary agreement
consists of a 10% increase in May, another 10% in June and 7% in July, plus a one-time bonus of 22% to be paid in four months
.
The sum of the increases and the non-remunerative bonuses complete a salary increase of
36.59%
. This increase, for the period January-September, is completed with
another 25%
that Aerolineas granted at the beginning of the year on account of the previous year: during 2020, with the beginning of the pandemic and the planes on the ground most of the year, the 12,000 Aerolineas employees had their salaries
frozen
.
A series of
benefits
outside the salary
are added to
the salary agreements, which each union negotiated on its own. In the case of the Airline Pilots Association (APLA), until last night the union had not disclosed the details among its affiliates: they only issued a poster through WhatsApp where they reported that the agreement "will allow to
continue to rebuild
the pilots' income. in the face of registered inflation ".
In the case of the Argentine Aircraft Association (AAA), whose joint membership was agreed on Friday, the union headed by
Juan Pablo Brey
reported internally that so far this year they have obtained an increase of
70%
(with the accumulation of 25% of January and 36.5% now) and an increase of
72% in per diem
per day worked ($ 1,554) and another increase of
29.5%
in per diem charged for each stopover flown.
Another detail that Brey announced and that will surely apply to the rest of the staff is the "
gradual reestablishment of the ticket scheme
", which refers to the ban that until now was in force in the company so that Aerolineas employees and their families can fly with
free tickets
on flights
abroad
.
So far since the beginning of the pandemic, the only option they had for passages using "sublo" (as they call them
) were on flights
cabotage
.
That policy would now be
put aside
, according to the unions, "gradually".
