Personal training account: end of the period granted to employees to transfer the rights acquired under the DIF

2021-06-30T01:43:05.537Z

Wednesday at midnight, it will be too late to switch these unused training hours saved on the DIF before 2015,

Notice to latecomers.

It will soon be the end of the period granted to employees to transfer the rights acquired under the DIF (individual right to training) to their CPF (personal training account).

After midnight June 30 - deadline already postponed several times - it will be too late and these rights will be lost.

Who is concerned ?

If you were an employee before December 31, 2014, you may still have DIF rights that can be carried forward to your training account.

These are the cumulative hours between 2008 and 2014, which can represent up to 120 total hours, or 1,800 euros potentially lost if you do not convert them.

How to proceed ?

This operation is in fact not automatic. Until 2014, the management of the DIF was the sole responsibility of the employer, who recorded the hours acquired by the employee and deducted those used each year. Latecomers must take the necessary steps themselves and manually report their hour counter via the mobile application or the My training account site. If you already have an account, all you need to do is log in, otherwise you need to create one. Then, you must go to the "My Training Rights" tab and finally "Enter my DIF".

To find out the number of hours you must carry forward, you must first find the payslip for December 2014 or January 2015 on which it appears.

Or request a certificate from the employer or the department responsible for training within the company.

Once this information has been entered, the hours - the DIF rights were previously counted in hours and not in euros - will be automatically converted into euros, in a few clicks.

What is it for ?

All employees, the unemployed and public officials now have a monetized and assigned CPF account.

Each holder can easily consult their rights, search, register and pay for the training of their choice.

For someone who had never used their DIF, this represents a maximum of 120 hours, which have since been converted into euros at the rate of 15 euros per hour, or a potential of 1,800 euros. Since January 1, 2019, the CPF is no longer supplied in hours but in euros at the rate of 500 euros per year (800 for unqualified employees), within the limit of 5,000 euros (8,000). Recovering the DIF money therefore allows an employee to earn a few years to reach the limit of his CPF. And use this account to fund your driver's license, language lessons or any other training.
