The Professional Export Diploma, launched by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, aims to assist traders and industrialists to move from spontaneous export to organized export, as the first course began in the middle of this month and lasts for four months.

The diploma targets 55 participants from the public and private sectors, including craftsmen, owners of small and micro enterprises, and representatives of industrial and commercial companies, under the supervision of specialists in the legal, economic and financial fields.

SANA met a number of trainers, where Dr. Fadi Ayyash, a specialist in strategic marketing planning, stated that the diploma is a form of long-term training that follows a well-studied academic approach in coordination with the relevant authorities affecting the export process. Helping traders and industrialists to move from spontaneous export to organized export that builds real markets and brands for the Syrian product in foreign markets.

Ayyash considered that the “lifeline” for the Syrian economy is the exportable agricultural industries because they are characterized by the comparative advantages that suit Syria’s geopolitical position.

Lawyer Wissam Karim El-Din, who is in charge of the legal axis, said that teaching the legal controls related to the export process, from the beginning of the correspondence and its legal impact to the contracts you pass, aims to graduate industrialists and craftsmen capable of exporting professionally and safely.

Among the trainees, Areej Ali Sheikh Kar, the craft of soap making from Dummar Central Incubator for Craft Arts, showed that crafts and handicrafts are small projects that are an essential component of the Syrian economy and need systematic and scientific training and qualification to be able to export without the need for an intermediary.

Muhammad Mazen Zakour, Sheikh Kar in the profession of extracting essential and vegetable oils at the Dummar Central Incubator for Craft Arts, indicated that the export diploma program refines the skills of the craftsman and upgrades him from the rank of a factory craftsman to an exporter of his products and protects him from brokering traders.

Mustafa Fattan, Executive Director of the Men’s Wear Manufacturing Company from Aleppo, said, in turn, that we want to raise the level of our work by following an educational approach to enable professional, systematic and planned export by taking advantage of the existing capabilities. The diploma gives traders the bases for success in exporting through specialists in economics, law and finance.
