After a complicated 2020, mid-size companies (ETIs) say they are ready to bounce back, according to the latest Bpifrance economic survey to which
Le Figaro
had access.
After a sharp contraction in activity last year, 60% of these companies located between SMEs and large companies (they employ less than 5,000 people and achieve less than 1.5 billion euros in turnover) think return to a level equal to or greater than that before the crisis by the end of the year, of which 39% as of this summer.
This is the case in industry and construction (at 62%), but also in trade and tourism (41%) despite the health restrictions still in force.
The most internationalized mid-sized companies, generating more than 25% of their turnover from exports, are the best positioned.
