With a delay, Hertha BSC received the next million installment from investor Lars Windhorst.
The Berlin Bundesliga club and the entrepreneur confirmed the receipt of payment this Monday.
Originally, the rate of 35 million euros should have arrived last Friday.
»To everyone who had doubts: The money has gone into #Hertha's account - 35 million euros!
So far, a total of 345 million euros have been invested at Hertha BSC.
The last installment will then come as agreed.
Much ado about nothing, ”tweeted Windhorst.
The remaining million tranche is to flow on August 15th.
Hertha managing director Bobic: "It doesn't move me"
In fact, it is by no means the first time that Hertha BSC has had to wait longer than planned for the entrepreneur's millions. Windhorst joined the football club in 2019 through his Tennor Holding. For 224 million euros, he acquired a good 50 percent of the shares in the professional division of the club. An agreement stipulated that Windhorst would pay a further 150 million by October 2020, increasing it to 66.6 percent. But there were delays in payment. At the end of May, the club leaders agreed to a further delay. Windhorst was to transfer the remaining 65 million in two tranches on July 1 and August 15 of this year. On request, Hertha announced last Friday that the receipt of payment for the first tranche had been agreed for Monday, July 5th.
Hertha managing director Fredi Bobic did not want to attach too much importance to the topic.
“That doesn't move me.
I paid little attention to it because it is currently not my priority, the topic, "said the new sports director of the Berliners in the training camp in Neuruppin.
For him it is more important to intensify contact with the team and coaching staff.
"I haven't checked my account yet," said Bobic.
A little later, Hertha confirmed the receipt of payment.
