Kering Eyewear adds a string to its bow.
The optical branch of the luxury group seizes Lindberg, the Danish brand of high-end eyewear.
From Meryl Streep to Giorgio Armani via Selena Gomez or Bill Gates, her light, titanium frames are worn by many celebrities around the world.
Lindbergh, which generates sales of around 100 million euros, will be the sixteenth brand in the fold of Kering Eyewear (Gucci, Saint Laurent, Chloé, Montblanc, etc.).
It will also be the first brand apart from those of Kering and Richemont (Cartier), a 30% shareholder in the company.
If most of them are fashion labels, known especially for their sunglasses, Lindberg is the first label of prescription glasses.
