In order to emerge stronger from the crisis which hit them hard, aeronautical subcontractors are embarking on a consolidation movement.
After the Sita group which bought Safety Line, a second operation is taking place in France this week.
Mecachrome, a specialist in sophisticated structural parts, announced this Friday the acquisition of the Hitim group, a technological nugget specializing in surface treatments and high precision mechanics.

The operation is being carried out under the aegis of the consolidation fund, entrusted to Ace Capital Partners (Tikehau group) as part of the public support plan for aeronautics.
“This is a first step in Mecachrome's strategy, which aims to become one of the consolidators of the aeronautical parts market.
The two shareholders - Bpifrance and Ace Capital Partners - are financing the transaction, which is scheduled to close at the end of July, ”
