Oil fell more than one percent today, affected by the decision of the “OPEC Plus” group to gradually increase production, starting from next August.
Reuters reported that Brent crude fell by one percent, or 1.4 percent, to $72.59 a barrel, after losing nearly three percent earlier.
US crude fell 94 cents, or 1.3 percent, at $70.87 a barrel, after falling nearly 4 percent in the past.
And the ministers of the OPEC Plus group agreed yesterday to increase oil supplies, starting next August, to calm prices, which rose to the highest level in two and a half years, with the global economy recovering from the Corona virus pandemic.
