For retirees who earn
less than $ 150,000 gross
or 8 minimum wages -if they meet certain conditions- ANSeS
will stop withholding
income tax from the collection of August wages.
And they will receive in August the
return of 2 installments
for what has been withheld since the beginning of the year.
Then in the following months they will receive the return of the following installments.
It is estimated that some
130,000 retirees and pensioners
of the ANSeS will stop paying the tax and another 30,000 will pay less.
And it will also reach another
70,000 beneficiaries
of the Provincial Savings Banks not transferred to the Nation and other special regimes.
The delay in the application of the new Earnings law is due to the fact that when the new tax regulations were approved and disseminated, ANSeS had already sent the settlements of the July assets to the different payment centers with the withholdings that until then were applied.
For that reason, retirees and pensioners reached by Earnings will collect their July wages - which they will receive from next week - with Earnings discounts, without the changes in the new law.
According to the new Earnings law, like dependent workers, retirees and pensioners are
exempt from Earnings if they earn less than $ 150,000 gross.
But in addition, they have a Non-Taxable Minimum of 8 minimum assets (today $ 184,520) if they do not pay the tax on Personal Assets and if they do not have other income or have them - for example, rents, interests - but less than $ 167,678.
That is, if they pay personal property and have other income higher than that value, as in the case of workers in a dependency relationship, they are exempt if they receive less than $ 150,000 gross.
To determine if the non-taxable minimum or $ 150,000 applies, ANSeS will check what is reported by taxpayers in the Affidavits entered by the SIRADIG-AFIP system.
