Gold prices fell today, hovering near the lowest level in more than a week, under pressure from the dollar's rise.
Reuters reported that the spot price of gold was down 0.2 percent to $1799.18 an ounce, after hitting its lowest level since July 12 at $1793.59 in the previous session.
And US gold futures fell 0.2 percent to $1799.20 an ounce.
Among other precious metals, silver fell 0.3 percent to $25.15 an ounce, palladium rose 0.5 percent to $2667.44, and platinum fell 0.3 percent to $1076.91 an ounce.
