Epilogue for an incredible spy case that shook the Swiss banking world. Credit Suisse managed to come to an amicable settlement with its former star banker, Iqbal Khan, who accused him of spying on him. This scandal had pushed the CEO of the second Swiss bank, Tidjane Thiam, to resign in February 2020.
"All the parties involved have agreed to put an end to the case,"
said Sunday Simone Meier, a Credit Suisse spokesperson for the weekly
NZZ am Sonntag.
According to the newspaper, the agreement allows for the dropping of criminal complaints filed by Iqbal Khan against the establishment and private investigators, who allegedly followed it. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

The scandal erupted in September 2019, shortly after the departure of Iqbal Khan, the former head of Credit Suisse's wealth management arm, for rival bank UBS.
