Today, Eng. Hussein Arnous, Prime Minister in the caretaker government, chaired a meeting that focused on the need to take the necessary measures and provide the required facilities in accordance with the laws in force to facilitate and simplify the procedures for creating companies of all kinds “limited liability and anonymous private, public and holding” and reducing the time required to complete their requirements.
Engineer Arnous stressed the need to expedite procedures, overcome obstacles to work in this context, shorten time and stages, invest electronic service centers and automate requests for establishing companies, provided that the maximum limit for granting a license to any company is one week, pointing out that there is an urgent need in these circumstances to establish companies and establish small projects. to increase production and secure employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and its relevant directorates to coordinate and cooperate with various ministries to facilitate procedures for granting approvals and publicizing companies, explaining that the Syrian market is promising to establish private companies after the issuance of the new investment law.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the issues that delay the registration process for companies, limiting responsibilities, determining the duration and facilitating procedures, will lead to the implementation of the administrative reform program, establish procedures, conditions and the registration form for establishing companies on the website of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and various stakeholders, and the complete automation of procedures.
The attendees stressed the importance of qualifying and training those responsible for registering companies in the ministry and working to register online through the Citizen Service Center, allocating one day each week in the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to answer inquiries about company registration and property protection and work to attract Syrian expatriate capital and coordinate with embassies Syrians abroad to achieve this goal.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the caretaker government, Talal Al-Barazi, the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Qais Muhammad Khader, his assistant, Dr. Mahmoud Saleh, and a number of concerned directors in the Ministry of Internal Trade.
