Oil prices rose today after data showing inventories of US crude and products fell more than expected.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures rose 38 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $74.86 a barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate crude contracts rose 42 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $72.07 a barrel.
The data of the American Petroleum Institute showed a decline in crude stocks in the United States by 4.7 million barrels for the week ending on July 23.
