The Government authorized a rise of
9% in August, 9% in September, another 9% in October
and, finally, 9% the last 9% as of January 1, 2022 of the fees of the affiliates to the companies of private medicine.
The same percentage of increase is planned for January next year, as published this Friday in the Official Gazette.
Through
Resolution 2125/2021
of the Ministry of Health, the green light was given to the increase in prepayments that
adds to the accumulated increase of 13.5% so far in 2021 and 10% corresponding to 2020.
In this way, the Government unlocked the joint union of the Health union, which this Thursday agreed to an increase of 45% for this year applicable in four sections.
Beyond the salary, in the regulations published this Friday it was established that each increase is
"complementary and cumulative"
, which means that
each increase is applied to the quota increased from the previous month.
The first article of the resolution states that "general, complementary and cumulative increases" are authorized of up to 9% as of August 1, 9% as of September 1, 9% as of October 1 and the same percentage as of January 1, 2022.
In the fundamentals, the Government conveyed that the representative entities of the sector have expressed their concern about "
the critical state
in which the majority of the providers find themselves", while emphasizing "the need to increase the fees they receive for the benefits they receive. they provide, in order to alleviate this situation and
guarantee its continuity
".
It was also indicated that a report from the Superintendency of Health determined that it is
reasonable to authorize general
, complementary and cumulative increases of the one that has been approved for the month of May 2021.
The truth is that the prepaid quota will close the year with
an accumulated increase of 40.5%
, which if the 9% expected for the beginning of 2022 is added, it would be close to 50% in one year.
In 2020, the only increase allowed was in December and reached 10%
, although in
2019 eight increases were applied, which totaled a rise of 60%.
According to the prepayments, the increases granted between March and May of this year were used to cover what was missing from the 2019-2020 parity.
Joint Health
In this second semester, the increase also seems to be destined to finance the salary increase, since after more than a month of protests and strikes, the Health union led by
Carlos West Ocampo
and the co-owner of the CGT, Héctor Daer, sealed this Thursday an increase of 45% for 320,000 employees of private medicine.
The 2021 parity, which was pending, will be paid in four tranches (15% in July, 15% in September, 10% in November and 5% in February, with revision).
The truth is that the new salary scale was tied to the approval of the increase in prepaid fees.
Undoubtedly, this increase will impact inflation, which maintains its sustained upward trend.
Indec reported that prices rose 3.2% in June;
25.3% in the first semester and 50.2% in the last 12 months.
Private medicine companies have almost 6 million subscribers, of which only 1.5 million pay their full quota
, that is, out of their own pockets, while the rest pay a percentage that is added to the contributions for social work.
