The most important parity in the country will continue this Tuesday in a new meeting to

negotiate a rise close to 42

% for 1.2 million commercial employees.

The union led by Armando Cavalieri will resume the discussion with the activity chambers at 2.30 pm

in the Ministry of Labor, after the failed negotiations on Monday.

After reopening its joint venture in July,

the union with the largest number of members seeks to add an increase of 10%

(5% in August and 5% in November) to the agreement signed last April, which represented an increase of 32% in four sections .

The objective is to reach 42% in the year, in line with the joint figures in the private sector

reopened since last June.

So far,

commercial employees received 8% in May, a figure that was surpassed by inflation that in July will reach 29%

.

That was the official goal set for the entire year.

The April agreement also included 8% in September 2021, 8% in January 2022 (along with a revision) and 8% in February of that same year.

At the end of June,

Cavalieri asked to advance the quota from September to July.

And in recent weeks it was decided to directly request an additional raise

in 2021. "There is not much difference," reported private sector sources.

While from the labor portfolio headed by Claudio Moroni they assured that the parties "are close."

The Government encourages a quick closing of negotiations in its attempt to reactivate consumption prior to the elections

, after stepping on spending in the first half of the year.

The idea is that the unions ask for the reopening of joint ventures when the increases approach accumulated inflation.

That was what happened with Bancarios y Porteros, which closed 43% and 45%.

The first signal came from Cristina Kirchner and Sergio Massa

, when at the beginning of June they signed a 40% increase for employees of Congress, a gesture that was later seconded in the private sector by Truckers (45%).

On Friday Health (45%) was added and this Monday it was Construction's turn (47.8%), raising the bar of the joint

.

The official bet is that wages will beat inflation this year

, after accumulating a 25% loss in the last three years.

Just in June, due to the signing and reopening of joint ventures, formal or registered salaries, with contributions to Social Security, rose more than inflation: they increased 3.7% while the average rise in prices was 3.2%.
