The food and confectionery group Mars has published a product recall.

Part of M & M's Crispy production is affected, as the company announced.

Specifically, blue M & M's Crispy packs of the sizes 36 grams, 187 grams and 255 grams with best-before dates January 23, 2022 and January 30, 2022 as well as 128-gram packs with a best-before date January 23, 2022 will be recalled.

According to Mars, the background to the recall is the unauthorized use of genetic engineering in an ingredient manufactured by a supplier.

This would also result in genetically modified organisms in the product.

Consumers with affected products should contact the company's consumer service with the product data and a photo of the packaging.
