US crude prices fell for the third day in a row today, with growing fears that the increasing spread of the delta strain of the Corona virus in major consuming countries will reduce demand for fuel.
Reuters reported that US West Texas Intermediate crude fell seven cents, or 0.1 percent, to $70.49 a barrel, while Brent crude futures added one cent to $72.42 a barrel.
Yesterday, the futures contracts for the two crudes fell to the lowest level since the 21st of last July, and then rose somewhat at the close.
