Equipment manufacturers are taking full advantage of the return of consumers to sports halls.
After the American leader Nike, who welcomed a record start to the year at the end of June, Adidas in turn published strong sales on Thursday which led it to raise its annual objectives.
It now expects sales growth of 20% for a full year, and a profit of 1.5 billion euros in 2021, against 1.4 billion euros previously expected.

The second quarter was particularly buoyant.
The turnover of the German group increased by 55% during this period and by 40% during the first part of the year, to 10.3 billion euros.
"With the return of sport to the fore this summer, we had a good performance,"
said CEO of Adidas, Kasper Rorsted.
The strength of our brands and greater demand for our products than we expected have boosted our sales and profits. ”
