The Minister of the Interior,

Eduardo De Pedro

, participated in a virtual meeting with businessmen.

The topic addressed was investment

and was heard by the groups at Amcham, the Argentine Chamber of Commerce in the United States.

Some participants described the talk as

"friendly".

AmCham includes US-owned companies based in the country. But national companies are also affiliated. Two participants of the meeting defined it as "pleasant", while another consulted disconnected shortly after listening. "In the style of the minister, who is not aggressive and calm, he is a conciliator, but it

seemed like a campaign event

facing the (primary) elections, for businessmen," he joked.

"Our function is to order the political system so that Argentines can live better. Ordering the political system means

establishing lasting long-term agreements

that generate

stability and predictability

in each sector. Develop strategic investments that enhance the productive profiles of each region and promote a

multipolar and competitive Argentina

, "said De Pedro, according to a statement released by AmCham.

"I agree with the general characteristics of the above," was the response of some attendees.

"There are peculiarities (the stocks, the double compensation, the lack of supplies) that we are always interested in raising,

but before other government ministers," said another businessman who was connected. Two businessmen consulted decided to wait for the "Council of Americas", which will take place next week, where they expect cheaper definitions, by Minister

Martín Guzmán.

The link between the Government and the business sector predominated in the questions of businessmen.

After the minister's presentation, there was a second part in which questions related to telecommunications were asked.

They will play an important role in the creation of upcoming companies and employment.

"

Governing is generating employment. There is no employment without companies

, and there are no companies without entrepreneurs. We believe in synergy between the public and private sectors for the productive development of the country. We need entrepreneurs who invest and a State that encourages the development of infrastructure. necessary to boost those investments, "said De Pedro.

The businessmen raised "obstacles" to invest in different regions and the minister (in charge of relations with the governors) promised a coordinated effort to carry out infrastructure works in different territories.

"In the framework of tours of the provinces, together with Minister Martín Guzmán (Economy) and Minister Matías Kulfas (Productive Development), we analyzed the development of infrastructures to generate investment conditions and the best business opportunities for the private sector. This development is accompanied by research in each region and the development of strategic works that are articulated with the private sector ”, observed De Pedro.

There,

the executives raised questions about the fiscal situation of the provinces.

“The State organizes the conditions to generate productive investments, which is why the indicators of the economic reactivation show that the data for the first quarter of the GDP showed that investment grew 38%, since 2020 177 foreign companies have made investments that invested US $ 33,673 million of dollars and 700 national companies made investments in Argentina ”, explained De Pedro.
