The “WDRVM” company for alternative energy and heavy industries in the industrial city of Hassia, in the Homs countryside, announced the completion of the installation of the second wind turbine to generate electric power in Syria with Syrian hands and expertise.
The company indicated in a press statement, which SANA received a copy of, that the entire manufacturing and installation was carried out in the “WDRVM” company for alternative energies and heavy industries, and the turbine was installed in the Al-Dhahabiya area in the western countryside of Homs city on the Homs-Tartous highway.
The company explained that the turbine will feed the general electricity network in Syria with a capacity of 2.5 megawatts, so that the full capacity with the first wind turbine will be 5 megawatts.
The company, despite the current circumstances, the unilateral coercive measures and the economic siege imposed on the Syrian people, was able to complete the manufacture of a turbine with all its components, including the tower, blades, and control devices, with high accuracy comparable to international standards, and installed it in the lands of the village of Al-Sindiya in the Golden area west of Homs on the Homs-Tartous highway, which is 20 km away About the city of Homs at the end of 2019.
