The Berlin labor court has provisionally prohibited a strike by Vivantes employees that began on Monday morning.
The decision will initially apply until the hearing on Tuesday afternoon, said a court spokesman.
A strike can only be carried out in hospitals if the medical care of the patients is ensured in emergencies.
This has not yet been guaranteed.
The Ver.di union had called for a strike in the state-owned hospitals Vivantes and Charité.
Verdi and the hospitals have been negotiating emergency service agreements for days.
In the morning, according to Ver.di, around 800 to 1000 hospital employees gathered for a rally in front of the Vivantes headquarters in Reinickendorf.
"For Vivantes, the decision means that we are now fully available again with our clinics for Berliners," said Dorothea Schmidt, Managing Director of Personnel Management at Vivantes.
According to union secretary Tim Graumann, there will again be talks with Vivantes on Monday and probably with the Charité on Tuesday.
The Charité has not yet planned any legal action against the strike, said a spokesman.
