On the day that the funds from the IMF Special Drawing Rights finally arrived in the country, the Minister of Economy Martín Guzmán affirmed that he continues to actively negotiate the agreement with the Fund, but announced: "Under no point of view is a reduction of the public spending".
In a television interview, the minister said that he negotiates other lines of credit multilarerally, which can improve the payment terms of the debt with the organization, which intends a maximum time for repayment of ten years.
On the dollar, Guzmán said he is working to reduce the gap, but ruled out a devaluation this year.
