The US dollar is near its lowest level in five days.
Reuters reported that the dollar recorded a five-day low yesterday at 92.947, the biggest daily drop since last May, and it remained stable today at 93.004 against a basket of currencies.
The New Zealand dollar hit a six-day high of $0.69375, up 0.7 percent.
Against the Japanese currency, the dollar rose 0.1 percent to 109.805 yen to the dollar, and the euro fell 0.1 percent to $1,1738.
