The Syrian Investment Authority announced granting it the first investment license after the issuance of the new investment law, for a project specialized in the production of sanitary pads for children, the elderly and women, paper tissues, and their complements and supplies.

The commission confirmed in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that in order to ensure the progress of investment licenses and support the investment process, the Supreme Council for Investment approved in its first and second sessions that the Syrian Investment Commission grant temporary investment licenses for investment projects pending the completion of the executive instructions and procedural guides for the new investment law No. 18 of 2021.

According to the commission, the licensed project located in the industrial city of Adra in the countryside of Damascus is one of several projects approved by the Supreme Investment Council, which gives a strong impetus to the investment law in achieving production and growth and contributing to the development of the national economy.
