Tallit for NIS 13,000: How much does it cost to be "equipped" in the synagogue?
Yom Kippur also brings complete secularism to the synagogue.
For some it is an opportunity to purchase a tallit or a prayer book, which are not in their home on days when they are being repaired.
Although with all due respect to styling, the intention in the heart is the main thing, and yet: how much will it cost to "equip" for a visit to the synagogue?

Yom Kippur is a special day for many secular people as well.
Some of us connect to the idea of personal or national mental arithmetic, for others it is memories from the parents' house, who were a little more careful - and there are those who just want to be part of the tradition: fasting, wearing white, wrapping in a tallit and reading the prayer book.
Each man and his tastes with him.
The problem is that religious relics, which are found in every traditional and religious public in every home, are not even found in stores in most secular neighborhoods.
Although even in Tel Aviv you can already see explosions and neighborhood stores for housewares, which sell kippahs and soul candles for Yom Kippur, but those who really want to invest, or just think it's time for their home to have a few basic relics, will have to move to more religious neighborhoods.
So how much does it cost to get everything you need for the synagogue on Yom Kippur?
We went out to check.

The tallit has become fashionable
Regarding prayer shawls, Eli from the 'prayer shawl' factory in Tel Aviv, volunteered to expand a little more.
According to him, the tallit has become a fashionable sacred item in recent years.
If in the past, worshipers clung to a classic tallit in black or blue on white, today there are prayer shawls made of different materials, combining special weaves and a wide range of custom colors and sizes.
Prices can range from NIS 120 for a tallit made of synthetic material (acrylic) to NIS 300-400 for a more elegant tallit made of wool, and even more for special hand-woven-style weaving.

A dome for everyone and at any cost
In the field of domes, the variety is huge.
Of course, a head covering can also be a hat - and in any case it is an accessory that is found in almost every home in Israel.
Quite a few seculars hold a dome in the glove compartment of the vehicle, in case they are called, God forbid, to attend the funeral.
For others, it is a dome that remains for them as a souvenir from the bar mitzvah or another event that requires wearing it.
Still, anyone looking to complete a "white on white" show and flaunt a white cap will have to purchase it specifically.
It will be said immediately - in any case it is not an expensive product and in concentrated sales the price of a single cap may reach a small amount, but there are embroidered or woven caps made of satin and linen, jeans and cotton, mesh knit and more.
The prices of the above types of domes will usually range from NIS 6-45.

And the most important thing to remember is that with all due respect to the festive performance, on Yom Kippur the main intention is: even those who do not know the wording of the prayer, even those who come to the synagogue without a tallit and even those who wear a visor By the other worshipers.
Because the intention in the heart is always free.
