Entrepreneurs, salespeople, lawyers, graphic designers… Emmanuel Macron decided this Thursday to address self-employed workers during the Meetings of the Union of Local Businesses (U2P).
And the President of the Republic did not come empty-handed… He who has often pointed out the brakes on entrepreneurship in France has decided to lift several with the announcement of measures expected by the independents .
The "personal assets will be elusive by operation of the law (...) in the event of default" and "only the elements essential to the professional activity can be seized", indicated in particular Emmanuel Macron, whereas currently only their main residence was protected in the event of a professional blow.
Likewise, the Head of State announced that all self-employed workers who cease their activity will be able to receive unemployment insurance once every 5 years, in order to facilitate their access to this device with "too restrictive" criteria.
It will no longer be necessary to have gone through a liquidation or a reorganization and the income criterion will be relaxed, he also specified.
Campaign commitment, this system set up in November 2019 has only been used by a thousand people.
