No more waiting to settle the bill at the restaurant. Sunday, a QR Code payment service, offers to dispense with a credit card machine and pay the bill via your smartphone. Created in April by the co-founders of the Big Mamma restaurant chain, associated for the occasion with Christine de Wendel (ex-Mano Mano), the start-up, based in Atlanta, has just announced a second fundraising: 100 million dollars financed by Coatue Management and DST Global, as well as around fifty investors from the hotel, restaurant and tech sectors, such as Xavier Niel, Olivier Bertrand and Éric Fréchon. This money is in addition to the $ 24 million already raised in April.
"We are raising $ 100 million because there is no longer any doubt that in a few years no one will be paying by credit card,
explains Victor Lugger, CEO of Sunday.
Our children will not experience today's world, where you have to raise your hand to pay at a restaurant.
